What does a volunteer Brussels Greeter do?
Greeters take tourists through their favorite parts of a neighborhood. Using
public transportation, volunteers take visitors (from 1-6 people) to areas
they know and to places visitors want to see.
Qualifications
To
become a Greeter, you must enjoy meeting and talking with people. You also
need to be familiar and enthusiastic about Brussels and the neighborhoods
tourists want to visit. We always desire people with foreign language skills.
Time and Place
Greeters must be available at least 1 day per month. You may accompany
tourists anywhere but meeting location is usually in the center of Brussels
(and always in a public place).
Benefits of Becoming a Greeter
You'll have a chance to show off your city of Brussels and impact its economy.
While you're teaching your new friends about Brussels, you'll learn about
their culture and why they love their city or country.
